reLAY AIR SLEEPING MATS

Our reLAY sleeping mats are your key to a good night's sleep in the wilderness. They are lightweight, durable, and even more spacious (58cm wide, 8cm thick) than the average air sleeping mat. An ideal solution for those seeking a quiet and compact inflatable sleeping mat that offers a high level of comfort. Their horizontal tubular construction and generous dimensions make them perfect for side sleepers and backpackers.

The durable recycled fabric is soft to the touch with good anti-slip and even better anti-noise properties. All mats pack down incredibly small, and thanks to the compact valve and convenient pump sack, they can be inflated in less than a minute. If you hike mostly from spring to autumn, the reLAY 3R would be more than enough for you. By choosing our award-winning reLAY 3R Split, you benefit from an additional sitting pad and a smaller kids' sleeping mat in one product. Used in conjunction with the Foam Lite Sleeping pad, it can keep you warm all year round. For those who prefer even warmer sleeping conditions, the reLAY 5R is the optimal solution.

How to choose the best sleeping mat for camping and backpacking

It all depends on the trail and your personal sleeping habits. In general, however, the longer the trip, the lighter and more comfortable the mat should be. Nowadays, inflatable (air) mats are the best solution, especially for regular camping, longer backpacking trips, and back and side sleeping.

They are more expensive, but considering the features, they come with, the investment is weill worth it. Inflatable mats are significantly more comfortable than closed-cell foam mats. They are very easy to use, durable, lightweight, and pack up much smaller, even with a wider construction. If you are heading for an all-season thru-hike, don’t forget that the higher the R value, the more your mat resists heat loss and the better it insulates you from the cold ground.
